Bluetooth Audio Setup for Android Screens in Mercedes-Benz
09.11.2026 | Ugode | FAQ

Android screen Bluetooth audio setup

This is a dual-Bluetooth audio setup: the Android screen sends audio to the original NTG system through Bluetooth. Turn on the Android screen's Bluetooth transmitter, find MB Bluetooth, then approve the same pairing code on both screens.

Factory settings → Function → Bluetooth transmitter switch → Reboot → Car Info → Media → Bluetooth audio → Options → Bluetooth audio devices → Connect via audio device

Before you start

Check the MCU version

Open Settings → System info. If the MCU version contains “MPb”, the Android screen uses Bluetooth for audio. This method applies to Mercedes NTG 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.5 and 6.0 systems.

  • Park the vehicle before using either screen.
  • The factory settings password in this guide is 2018.
  • Pairing prompts time out quickly, so keep both screens ready.

Device names and pairing codes vary. QCOM-BTD-4119 and 338072 are examples from the screenshots, not fixed values.

Quick fixes

MB Bluetooth is missing

Make sure original-car Bluetooth is on, then search again. Remove old paired devices if the list is full.

Pairing timed out

Repeat steps 7–13 and answer both prompts sooner.

Connected but no sound

Keep NTG on Media → Bluetooth audio. Check Android media volume, car volume, and the Bluetooth transmitter switch.

The codes are different

Cancel on both screens and pair again. Never approve mismatched codes.

Common questions

Why does an MPb Android screen need MB Bluetooth for sound?

An MPb Android screen sends its audio to the original NTG system over Bluetooth. The original system then plays the Android audio through the car speakers.

Is QCOM-BTD-4119 the correct device for every screen?

No. It is only the name shown in this example. Your Android screen may use a different QCOM-BTD suffix or another name.

Is the factory settings password always 2018?

2018 is correct for the unit shown here. If it does not work, ask the seller or installer for the password used by your firmware.

Do I need to pair again after every restart?

Normally, no. Both systems should remember the connection. If pairing keeps disappearing, check the paired-device lists or ask the screen supplier about a firmware update.
