Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto Connection Guide
Make sure the connection mode is "CP/AA"(Zlink APP), when you use carplay and android auto.

- Disable OEM Bluetooth
- Verify if the vehicle’s OEM Bluetooth is connected to your phone. If connected, disable Bluetooth functionality.
- Critical: Do not allow simultaneous phone connections to both OEM Bluetooth and CarPlay.
- Delete OEM Bluetooth pairings from your phone’s settings.


2. Android Screen Settings
- Route:
System →Bluetooth settings → Select "install Bluetooth" Option - Enable Background Connection (ensures auto-connect when entering the vehicle).
- Clear redundant Bluetooth pairings in the Bluetooth menu(Keep max 5 Bluetooth pairings —delete extras)
- Set default connection mode to "Last Mode"
- Delete historical Wi-Fi connections (especially outdated ones).


3. Phone Settings
- Enable Wi-Fi when using CarPlay.
- Navigate:
General Settings → CarPlay → Ensure "Enabled". - Delete redundant device records in CarPlay settings.
- Tip: Excessive Bluetooth pairings degrade performance—remove unused devices.
- Keep "Auto CarPlay Connection" active.

4. Initiate CarPlay Connection
- Ensure CarPlay is enabled on your phone.
- If the Android unit can't find your phone's Bluetooth, search for the head unit's Bluetooth directly from your phone to pair
- Agree to all popup content on your phone.


5. Restart Devices
- Power-cycle your phone (full shutdown → restart).
- Reset Android unit Network Settings (Route: setting-Android-system-Reset options-Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth.)
- Re-pair Bluetooth after reset.

6. Reinstall Zlink App
- Uninstall the existing Zlink application.
- Reinstall the default CarPlay app using the built-in APK installer.
- Note that this method is only applicable to Android 10 units and Android 12/13 units equipped with 662 chips.
7. Update Zlink App
- Outdated Zlink versions may cause instability.
- Contact us for the latest version and reinstall.
8. Update iOS
- Update to the latest iOS version to resolve compatibility issues.
- Note: Older iOS versions conflict with CarPlay functionality.
