How to Get Sound from a BMW E65 E66 Android Screen: AUX, CDC or FM Transmitter
When upgrading a BMW 7 Series E65 or E66 with an Android screen, the audio output method depends on the options available in the original BMW system. Before installation, check whether your vehicle has AUX or CDC in the OEM multimedia menu.
Check Your BMW E65 E66 Audio Menu First
The UGODE Android screen uses the vehicle's original audio system for sound. There are three possible situations depending on whether AUX and CDC are available in your BMW.
OEM System Has AUX
If your BMW E65 or E66 already has an AUX option in the original multimedia system, the Android screen can use AUX for audio output.
After installing the screen, enter the original BMW system and switch the multimedia audio source to AUX. The Android screen audio will then play through the vehicle's original speakers.
No AUX, but CDC Is Available
If the original BMW system does not have AUX but has a CDC / CD Changer option, a MOST fiber-optic AUX audio adapter can be used.
The adapter converts the factory CD changer channel into an AUX audio input. After installing the Android screen and the fiber-optic adapter, enter the original BMW system and select CDC as the audio source.
Note: The CD changer channel is used by the adapter, so the original CDC function will no longer be available while this setup is in use.

If your BMW E65 or E66 has neither an AUX option nor a usable CDC / CD Changer channel, the Android screen cannot use either of the two audio methods above.
In this situation, an FM transmitter must be used to send the Android screen audio to the vehicle's original FM radio system.
Check the original BMW multimedia menu before ordering or installing the screen. If AUX is available, use AUX. If AUX is not available but CDC is available, use the MOST fiber-optic AUX adapter. If neither AUX nor CDC is available, use an FM transmitter for audio.
