What is MMI system?
The MMI system (Multi Media Interface) is Audi’s multimedia interaction system. The MMI system offers three configurations: standard MMI basic version, MMI basic plus version, and a fully equipped MMI version. The standard version is equipped with a terminal and a monochrome display, controlling basic functions; the basic plus version adds TP memory and a digital sound system; the fully equipped version features a 7-inch color display and other advanced configurations
Why need to confirm MMI system?
When upgrading the screen in an Audi vehicle, it is important to confirm the MMI system version for several reasons:
-
Compatibility: Different MMI versions may have varying hardware and software requirements. Ensuring compatibility helps avoid issues during installation.
-
Feature Availability: Newer screens may offer features that are only supported by specific MMI versions. Confirming the version ensures that you can take full advantage of the new screen’s capabilities.
-
Performance Optimization: Upgrading to a screen that is not compatible with your MMI version may lead to performance issues or limited functionality.
