    How to Make a Custom Boot Logo for UGODE BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi Android Display Upgrade

    This guide explains how to create a custom startup logo for UGODE Qualcomm665 Android screens, including the correct BMP image size, bootlogo.zip structure, USB folder placement and factory import path.

    Before You Start

    Prepare the following items before creating the UGODE Android screen boot logo file.

    Windows Computer

    Use a Windows computer to create folders, rename files and compress the boot logo package into ZIP format.

    USB Flash Drive

    Format the usb flash drive to exFAT/fat32

    The final OEM folder must be copied to the root directory of the USB flash drive.

    BMP Boot Logo Image

    Prepare a startup logo image saved as BMP format. The image pixels must match your Android screen resolution.

    How to Create and Import a Custom Boot Logo

    Follow these steps to make a custom boot logo for UGODE BMW Android screen, Mercedes-Benz Android display or Audi Android screen upgrade.

    Create a BMP Image That Matches Your Screen Resolution

    Create a boot logo image according to your Android screen resolution. For example, if your screen resolution is 1920 × 720, the BMP image should also be 1920 × 720 pixels.

    Rename the image as logo_customer1.bmp.

    If you want to add more boot logos, name them logo_customer2.bmp, logo_customer3.bmp and so on.

    Create a Resolution Folder

    Create a folder for the boot logo image and name it according to your screen resolution.

    Create bootlogo.zip

    Next, create a folder named "bootlogo". Place the resolution folder (for example, "1920_720") into the "bootlogo" folder, then compress the "bootlogo" folder into a ZIP file.

    Do not use RAR, 7Z or other formats. It must be a standard .zip file.

    Put bootlogo.zip into the OEM Folder

    Create a folder named OEM, then put bootlogo.zip inside the OEM folder.

    Correct path: OEM / bootlogo.zip / 1920_720 / logo_customer1.bmp

    Copy the OEM Folder to the USB Root Directory

    Copy the entire OEM folder to the root directory of the USB flash drive. Then connect the USB flash drive to the Android screen USB port.

    The OEM folder should not be placed inside another folder on the USB drive. It must be directly visible from the USB root directory.

    Import the Boot Logo from Factory Settings

    On the Android screen, go to the following path: 

    SETTINGS → FACTORY → Password: 2018 → Logo Settings → Page 3 → Import

    After importing successfully, go to Logo Settings → Page 3 and select the custom boot logo you want to use.

    Common Mistakes That May Cause Import Failure

    • The image is not saved in .bmp format.
    • The BMP image size does not match the Android screen resolution.
    • The ZIP file is not named exactly bootlogo.zip.
    • The ZIP file is not standard .zip format.
    • The OEM folder is not copied to the USB root directory.
    • The file path is incorrect or has an extra folder layer.

    What image format should I use for the UGODE custom boot logo?

    Use BMP format. The first custom boot logo should be named logo_customer1.bmp. If you need more logos, use logo_customer2.bmp, logo_customer3.bmp and so on.

    Does the boot logo image size need to match the screen resolution?

    Yes. The BMP image pixels should match the Android screen resolution. For example, use a 1920 × 720 BMP image for a 1920 × 720 Android display.

    What is the correct bootlogo.zip structure?

    The correct structure is e.g.,OEM / bootlogo.zip / 1920_720 / logo_customer1.bmp. When you open or preview bootlogo.zip, you should directly see the 1920_720 folder.

    Can I use a 1280 × 480 boot logo instead?

    Yes. If your screen resolution is 1280 × 480, create a 1280 × 480 BMP image and name the folder 1280_480. The rest of the method is the same.

    Where should I put the OEM folder on the USB flash drive?

    Copy the whole OEM folder to the root directory of the USB flash drive. Do not place it inside another folder.

    What is the factory password for importing the logo?

    The factory password is 2018. The import path is SETTINGS → FACTORY → Password: 2018 → Logo Settings → Page 3 → Import.
