Why Upgrade Mercedes with Digital Cluster?

The  Digital Cluster offers enhanced driving experiences with HD displays, customizable interfaces, and real-time data updates. This guide provides detailed instructions for safe installation, suitable for both car owners and technicians.


Preparation Checklist

  • Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic pry tool, anti-static gloves.
  • Safety Precautions: Ensure the vehicle is turned off and disconnect the battery’s negative terminal (to prevent short circuits).

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Steps 1-3: Removing Original Components

  1. Remove the Air Vent Panel
    • Gently pry the edges of the air vent panel using a plastic pry tool to avoid scratching the interior.
  1. Detach the Large Air Vent Panel
    • After removing the first layer, proceed to detach the larger lower vent assembly.
  1. Remove the Original Instrument Cluster Frame
    • Release the frame’s securing clips and store it carefully to prevent damage.

Steps 4-6: Uninstalling the Factory Cluster

  1. Unscrew the 4 Mounting Screws
    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screws counterclockwise. Keep them organized.
  1. Remove the Original Cluster
    • Hold both sides of the cluster firmly and pull it out smoothly.
  1. Disconnect Power and Wiring
    • Press the connector’s lock tab and unplug the harness slowly.

Steps 7-9: Installing the New Digital Cluster

  1. Connect the New Cluster’s Wiring
    • Align the original connector with the new cluster’s port until you hear a “click” indicating a secure fit.
  1. Attach the USB Cable for Updates (Optional)
    • Route the USB cable to the glovebox for future system updates.
  1. Secure the New Cluster
    • Align the screw holes and tighten the 4 screws in a diagonal sequence to ensure even pressure distribution.

Steps 10-11: Reassembly and Testing

  1. Install the New Cluster Frame
    • Align the frame’s clips with the dashboard slots and press until fully seated.
  1. Reattach Air Vent Panels
    • Reinstall the panels in reverse order and ensure all components are securely fitted.
