Preparation Checklist
- Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic pry tool, anti-static gloves.
- Safety Precautions: Ensure the vehicle is turned off and disconnect the battery’s negative terminal (to prevent short circuits).
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Steps 1-3: Removing Original Components
- Remove the Air Vent Panel
- Gently pry the edges of the air vent panel using a plastic pry tool to avoid scratching the interior.
- Detach the Large Air Vent Panel
- After removing the first layer, proceed to detach the larger lower vent assembly.
- Remove the Original Instrument Cluster Frame
- Release the frame’s securing clips and store it carefully to prevent damage.
Steps 4-6: Uninstalling the Factory Cluster
- Unscrew the 4 Mounting Screws
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screws counterclockwise. Keep them organized.
- Remove the Original Cluster
- Hold both sides of the cluster firmly and pull it out smoothly.
- Disconnect Power and Wiring
- Press the connector’s lock tab and unplug the harness slowly.
Steps 7-9: Installing the New Digital Cluster
- Connect the New Cluster’s Wiring
- Align the original connector with the new cluster’s port until you hear a “click” indicating a secure fit.
- Attach the USB Cable for Updates (Optional)
